Lauren is Director of Kids Communicate and has nearly 30 years of private practice experience in Hoboken, New Jersey, specializing in evaluating and treating infants, children, and adults with feeding, speech, breathing, airway, and orofacial myofunctional disorders. She began her career at Beth Israel Medical Center as a member of the Cochlear Implant Team.
Lauren is committed to lifelong learning, and has completed extensive continuing education earning 13 ACE Awards from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Lauren developed CAIT™ (Canine Assisted Integrative Therapy), a model that reflects her clinical approach of treating the whole person by integrating speech-language pathology, orofacial myofunctional therapy, feeding therapy, craniosacral therapy, manual therapy, breathing retraining, Capnometry-Assisted Respiratory Training (CART), cranial nerve integration, sensory-motor treatment, and primitive reflex integration. Her certified therapy dogs support nervous system regulation, patient engagement, breathing, movement, and a safe, supportive environment. She collaborates with orthodontists, ENTs, pediatric dentists, oral surgeons, lactation consultants, and other providers to deliver comprehensive care.
She is passionate about helping patients of all ages improve breathing, feeding, communication, and overall function by addressing the connection between the mouth, brain, body, airway, and breathing system.
