MaryBeth Gangemi
North Carolina, USA
Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist

MaryBeth has over 25 years of experience working with people across the lifespan, including children, teens, young adults, midlife, and seniors. She and her husband own Systems Health Care, a natural health center in Chapel Hill, NC, where she runs her private practice. She is also part of a multidisciplinary team at an airway dentistry practice.
MaryBeth's specialty is the integration of natural movement, breathing, and orofacial myology. Her approach is rooted in a broader understanding of how people grow and change, shaped by early work in behavioral health.
Her work is informed by a developmental approach that uses play, movement, and relationships to support regulation, communication, social engagement, and development. She created an early intervention breathing and oral posture program for young children and is the author of two children's books that introduce relaxation and healthy oral motor skills in ways young readers can understand and enjoy.
MaryBeth has a love for lifelong learning, and that curiosity shows up in the wide scope of her practice as she continues to bring new approaches to the people she works with. Outside of her practice, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and being in nature.
